Updating from ZBrush 2018

If your license has a serial number (single-user or volume license) there are two ways to update from ZBrush 2018 to ZBrush 2018.1:

  1. In your ZBrush 2018 folder there is a program called ZUpgrader.  Run this.  It will automatically download and begin installation of the update.
    • Remember that this is a brand new installer.  (Both the patcher and the stand-alone installer.)  This means that it will be misidentified as malicious by many antivirus applications.  It is STRONGLY recommended to temporarily disable such programs before using ZUpgrader or the stand-alone installer.
    • Do not run "Update," "Updater" or anything else.
    • ZBrush cannot be running when you do this.
    • It is a patch, which will update your existing ZBrush installation.
  2. If you prefer to have an original installation (or if ZUpgrader does not work for some reason) you can download the stand-alone installer from My Licenses.  The download button on that page will always give the most current installer.

    2. Uninstall ZBrush 2018
    3. Download the new installer.
    4. Install ZBrush 2018.1

If your license is server-managed (floating license) you will need to have your company's IT manager submit a Support ticket per these instructions.
