Upgrading to ZBrush
Posted by Matthew Yetter on 05 October 2016 04:34 PM

ZBrushCore can be upgraded to a ZBrush license at any time after ZBrush 4R8 has been released**.

Should you choose to do this, $100 USD from your ZBrushCore purchase will be applied to the ZBrush purchase.

Your ZBrushCore license will not be disabled and you may continue to use it if you wish.  However, due to the discount on the ZBrush license you may not allow someone else to use your ZBrushCore license in your stead.

Only single-user licenses may upgrade to ZBrush.  Volume and floating licenses are not eligible.

All upgraded licenses will be commercial licenses; it will not be possible to upgrade from ZBrushCore to an academic ZBrush license.

To upgrade, please log in to the My Licenses page.  Next to your ZBrushCore license you will see an Upgrade option.  Clicking that button will take you to the Store page with the discount already applied.

Cross-platform ZBrushCore licenses may not be upgraded because this would stack discounts.  If you have purchased a cross-platform second license you will be able to upgrade your original license and then purchase a new cross-platform license for ZBrush itself.  In this way you will then be able to have licenses for both platforms with the best possible discounts.

*Pixologic reserves the right to modify this policy at any time and without notice.  Only the current policy at time of upgrade will be honored.

**Upgrades are not available before the release of ZBrush 4R8 due to the fact that ZBrushCore is based on 4R8's code and so ZBrush 4R7 cannot load any ZPR or other native format files created by ZBrushCore.  When ZBrush 4R8 is released, ZBrush will then be able to open all files created by ZBrushCore and we will enable the upgrade option on My Licenses.
