ZBrush 4R6 P2 Patch Released for All Users
Posted by Matthew Yetter on 27 June 2013 02:26 PM
Following launch of ZBrush 4R6 we have worked hard to find and resolve any issues that only became visible after the version was out of beta testing and being used by thousands of people. A patch -- which we're calling P2 -- has been released to address items affecting some users of GoZ, ZRemesher, Decimation Master, UV Master and other areas.
This patch is recommended for ALL users.
If you have already upgraded to 4R6, please run the Auto-Update. You can do this from within ZBrush 4R6 by clicking the ZPlugin >> Auto Update >> Check new updates button. Alternatively, browse to your ZBrush 4R6 folder and run the ZUpgrader application that you'll find there. The patch will download and begin installing automatically. After it has installed, ZBrush will now say "ZBrush 4R6 P2" in the upper left corner of its window. You should not need to reactivate after patching.
Note: If you've already installed the P1 patch, you will still need the P2 patch. If you have not yet installed P1, you will receive its fixes automatically as part of P2.
Note: If you've already upgraded to 4R6, do not run the Auto Update in ZBrush 4R5. That one will not give you the 4R6 P2 patch.
If you have not yet upgraded to 4R6, you'll receive the P2 version automatically as part of your upgrade. You'll be able to verify this when you start ZBrush by checking the upper left corner of its window, which should say "ZBrush 4R6 P2". If it does not, go ahead and run the update as explained above. Otherwise, you're good to go!
If you have any other questions about or issues with ZBrush 4R6, please be sure to bring them to our attention in the Troubleshooting Post at ZBC.
